Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using getCourage (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Service description

getCourage provides career intelligence tools for software engineers, including salary benchmarks, skill gap analysis, career transition paths, and AI automation risk scores. Data is sourced from government statistics, academic research, and job posting analysis.

3. Accounts

You may sign up using GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.

4. Data accuracy

Salary data, skill demand metrics, and AI risk scores are based on publicly available sources. While we strive for accuracy, all data points include confidence tiers indicating reliability. getCourage should not be your sole basis for career decisions.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Platform beyond normal use
  • Redistribute platform data commercially without permission
  • Attempt to access admin or other restricted areas without authorization
  • Use the Platform to harass, spam, or deceive others

6. Intellectual property

The Platform, its design, and its aggregated datasets are the intellectual property of getCourage. Template project repositories are licensed under their respective open source licenses. Source data from government agencies retains its original licensing.

7. Limitation of liability

getCourage is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for career decisions made based on platform data. Maximum liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service (currently $0 for free tier).

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time, and we will erase your data per our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany.
